Some people dream of a winter wonderland wedding and we love hosting them at Edlynn Farm! The air is crisp, the venue is cozy, and happy couples are eager to celebrate the season by exchanging vows and creating new holiday memories.

In December 2023, Baxter and Tahlia celebrated their union at Edlynn Farm and danced the night away with their loved ones. We were in awe of their vision and were honored to host their special event.

Come check out some of the decorations and vendors to get inspired for your own wedding. If you’re curious about Edlynn Farm for your big day, get in touch with us—we want to make your special day as memorable as this one!

We Started With a Venue Layout

We create a venue layout (which you can see below) for every couple. However, the planning was especially important for this wedding with so many large decorations and very specific visions in mind. We wanted to make sure their big, winter wonderland wedding day could be perfectly executed.

As the Manager at Edlynn Farm, I worked closely with the couple to create renderings of the ceremony & reception layouts so the couple could know that their guests would be comfortable and could enjoy every aspect of the event.

Not only are these renderings practical, but they’re also inspirational. With a layout of the room, Baxter and Tahlia were able to see that the interior of the barn was full. However, there was an opportunity to transform the covered patio space into a Santa’s Workshop for guests to write letters to Santa and stop for a hot cocoa or apple cider to warm up before dinner and dancing.

Together We Got the Decor Just Right

Baxter and Tahlia put together the decorations for their wedding and turned our beautiful barn venue into a cozy place to celebrate their relationship. From Christmas trees to mistletoe, they didn’t miss anything festive and it worked beautifully into the space. The couple even had a festive truck on hand to set the stage for guests as they arrived!

The photos in this blog post beautifully highlight how Baxter and Tahlia embraced the spirit of the holidays and created an immersive experience for their wedding, even without snow outside. With a clear theme and vision, great decor can be used to create any experience you desire for your guests.

The Couple Really Leaned Into the Season (In the Best Way!)

December is a great time to get married if you want to use rich jewel tones in your wedding. Baxter and Tahlia built their wedding around dark greens, deep reds, and rich gold hues. White was also an accent color, used for Tahlia’s dress and various other decorations.

This color palette allowed the couple to embrace the holiday season for their wedding theme, while still feeling romantic and special to their big winter wonderland wedding day. It also gave the groom more creativity in his suit choice. Baxter looked stunning in his red velvet suit jacket, breaking away from the traditional black, brown or blue options that many grooms choose.
